Design Matrix takes great pride in its ability to design and build animated display models that can be shipped world-wide and work dependably for many years. |
client: GE A 3/4 section of a gas turbine that incorporated lights to show airflow, a rotating turbine rotor, and an audio narrative that could be easily up-dated.

client: Engelhard Corp. Sequencing lights within acrylic tubes indicated gas flow through a "Regenerative Catalytic Oxidizer." The gas flow path changed as two LED temperature indicators ramped up and down. The model was designed for both tradeshow use and customer presentations.

client: Atlas Copco A multi-stage turbo compressor was modeled with 1/2 and 3/4 sectioned areas at 1:5 scale. Interstage piping had sequencing lights to show airflow, and rotating helical gears drove small impellers.

client: GE A desktop model demonstrated how a Combined Cycle Power Plant operates. The power train assembly rotates, and all 1,220 turbine blades and 5,000 steam turbine blades are accurately depicted. A programmable controller synchronized to an audio narrative and lights showed plant start-up and operation.

client: GE A full scale mock-up of a gas turbine rotor assembly designed to look like a CAD drawing rotated slowly above a tradeshow booth, acting as a very effective "booth grabber."
